It happened in a matter of seconds. The traffic light turned green. My foot slipped off the accelerator as if it were icy. A horn behind me sounded. A heavy weight pushed against me keeping me from moving. I heard the rushing and pounding of wind against my car. Looking up a delivery truck barreled through the red light right in front of me. I have no doubt that I was saved by responding to the calming arm of God rather than the hurried person behind me sounding their horn to get me moving. I was aware of God’s peaceful presence within that matter of seconds.
