Christ, as the Son of God is faithful “over” the household. The household is the people of God. Christ is at the center of what we believe. He was faithful in doing all God asked Him to do. Perseverance is one of the signs of being a Christian. We, as Christians, must hold on to “our courage and the hope of which we boast.” We hold onto our certainty that God is who He says He is and that He will carry out His promises as found in His Word.

My faithfulness to my Lord God…It’s as if God has been tapping me on my shoulder this past week and saying: Listen. See. You are receiving my promises as a reminder of the hope that is yours. Hold on to the good I have for you. You are my child and I am your God. This is not a time of choosing to carry things by yourself or charging ahead alone. You don’t have to be alone…ever. I am here.

The Lord God is faithful. His faithfulness is my example. I need to keep my mind and heart focused on Him. I must be faithful and persevere to do what He expects of me no matter what I am going through. Wow, that “P” word is my constant hurdle!
