Personal Faithfulness

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3-4 (NIV)

Post comment regarding the expectations of personal faithfulness in this scripture.

Hold on to what is good: love and faithfulness. To do so shows a life committed to living well for God. To “bind” and “write” emphasize that God’s teachings on love and faithfulness are to become a vital part of a believer’s character. This shows respect and obedience. Others will also see that you live well.

I sense the “P” word again…perseverance in living well for God! I can’t just sit and expect God to do all the work. I know He could but He wants a relationship with me. I have to do all I can to live well allowing God to guide me with His teachings and the examples He gives me. What is getting me through is staying close to His Words, His teachings, trusting in His faithfulness and love and at the same time holding on to my own faithfulness and love towards Him.
