Thursday: Love Your Enemies

"I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting a return. You'll never--I promise--regret it. Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us, generously and graciously, even when we're at our worst. Our Father is kind; you be kind."
(Luke 6:35, The Message)

Post Comment: Loving someone can be difficult. How have you been able to move in the direction of loving your enemies?

I would like to think that I don't have any enemies, but I know better. I am certain there are folks out there who don't particularly care for me. Then too, there are those who just hate Christians in general. Perhaps that is what this message is about. Loving those who are different from me, who believe differently than me. These could be my neighbors or co-workers too. Um....something to think about. Thanks for writing.
